Professor, Head of the Department of Psychology of Individual Differences at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland,  Vice-President of the Polish Psychological Association, Editor-in-chief of The Review of Psychology. As a Fulbright and Humboldt Fellow (Yale University, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich), he has been on placement in numerous foreign scientific institutions, among others in the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain. His scientific interests primarily concern individual differences, giftedness and social attitudes towards disabled persons. He is author of 300 publications, among others the books Achievement of Gifted Students, Personality and Artistic Achievement of Music School Students, Personality-based Determinants of Attitudes towards the Disabled, and Psychology of Abilities: Current Research Trends, World of Values of Gifted Students. He has published in international scientific journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Science, High Ability Studies, Journal of Personality, Psychology and Aging and Assessment.
