Carole Sinclair

Ethics Committee of the International Association of Applied Psychology

Chair of the Committee on Ethics of the Canadian Psychological Association and member of the Ethics Committee of the International Association of Applied Psychology.

Dr. Sinclair is the current Chair of the Committee on Ethics of the Canadian Psychological Association, and a member of the Ethics Committee of the International Association of Applied Psychology.

She was a key contributor to the initial development and subsequent revisions of the Canadian Code of Ethics for Psychologists, is co-author (with the late Dr. Jean Pettifor) of the Companion Manual to the Canadian Code, as well as author of the Canadian Psychological Association’s online ethics course entitled “Being an Ethical Psychologist.”

Dr. Sinclair has presented on the topic of ethics at many national and international congresses, and is the author of several chapters and journal articles on ethics with a particular focus on ethical decision making, the history of ethics codes, the roots of ethical principles across cultures and time, and supervision ethics.
